Beeswax Salve

Here is version 2.0 folks. Anne concocted this salve mainly to help our youngest daughter with a rash that Anne also has--Keratosis Pilaris.  It's a rash that many people suffer from but is more prominent in people with asian ethnicity.  Our daughter kept scratching it and making it worse.  Anne was told that there is nothing that can be done to clear this rash so she went on a mission.  After using this salve for a few days, it was clear that it is working.  It may not completely clear the rash, but it's at least made the itch stop.  

This salve is natural, healing, smooth, and lasts. A little goes a looong way and you can choose unscented or scented now! Both versions have the same ingredients as the original salve with a couple more healing oils that I didn’t have the first time around 😜.

The scented version (Bee Complex) has a proprietary blend of essential oils that Anne has concocted.

Uses: This salve does not absorb into the skin quickly, therefore it acts as a protective barrier for  rashes, itchy bites, stings or dry, cracked skin. It is also safe to be used on your lips! 

It is normal for the salve to be tacky after you have rubbed it on—that’s the honey you’re feeling. 

What’s in it? Anne has researched this salve so that you’re getting all of the good stuff and none of the bad. 

Beeswax: forms a protective barrier on the skin's surface, protecting your skin from environmental irritants and harsh weather.  It is also non-comedogenic(non-pore blocking) allowing the skin to breathe freely. 

Natural Oil Blend: 

Extra Virgin Olive Oil:  antimicrobial, antioxidant, anti-inflammatory.

Jojoba Oil: antioxidant, anti-acne and anti-psoriasis, anti-inflammatory, anti fungal, analgesic, antimicrobial.

Shea Butter: relieves dry skin, eases irritation, prevents cell damage, improves eczema, provides sun protection, doesn't cause allergic reactions.

Avocado Oil: moisturizes skin, a good source of vitamin E, potassium and lecithin, prevents acne, anti-inflammatory, treats sunburn, reduces aging signs, wound healing properties, helps to cope with eczema and psoriasis.

Grapeseed Oil: high in linoleic acid which helps to strengthen the skin's barrier, reducing redness and inflammation caused by breakouts.  It also contains Vitamin E, an amazing ingredient that hydrates the skin and acts as a natural preservative.

Coconut Oil: highly moisturizing, defends skin from damaging microorganisms, can help to treat acne, reduces inflammation and contributes to a more even skin tone.

Rose Hip Oil: the retinoids in this oil brightens the skin, prevents blackheads, reduces inflammation, contains linoleic acid that can aid in acne prevention and shrinks pimples.  It may also help to treat eczema.

Kukui Nut Oil: is anti-inflammatory, helps to accelerate wound healing and helps to relieve pain.  It's protective oils also form a barrier on the skin, reducing the risk of infection.

Argan Oil: protects from sun damage, moisturizes skin, treats a number of skin conditions, treats acne, heals skin infections, improves would healing, soothes atopic dermatitis, and has anti-aging effects.

Flaxseed Oil: antioxidant-rich, anti-inflammatory, and anti-bacterial.

Oil Infusion:

Lemon Peel: may reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, improve sagging and loss of elasticity, may fight acne, helps improve hyperpigmentation, fights off free radicals that damage the skin, boosts natural radiance with vitamin C, reduces excess oil in the skin.

Hawaiian Propolis: harvested from our very own hives, propolis moisturizes, smoothes out wrinkles and has anti-aging properties.  Contains antioxidants such as phenolic compounds and flavonoids which neutralize an unfavorable effect of free radicals on the skin. 

Rosemary: acts as an astringent that balances and tones the skin.  Helps decongest acne and oily skin types while maintaining balance within the skin.  It's also antimicrobial, which helps to prevent oily and acne prone skin from breakouts.

Thyme: anti fungal and antiseptic, fortifies the skin and can relieve itchiness caused by dry skin

Noni Leaves: moisturizing and reduces signs of aging. Also used for burns, sores and wounds to help with healing.

Basil: anti-inflammatory, antibacterial and helps to cleanse the pores, removing impurities and excess oil that can encourage blackhead and acne.  It also soothes pain and swelling due to acne.

Clove: anti-bacterial and anti fungal properties, treats acne scars, antiseptic, anti-aging.

Hawaiian Honey: deeply moisturizes and hydrates, diminishes the signs of premature aging, an effective pore cleanser and gentle exfoliator, lightens scars and hyperpigmentation, fights acne and breakouts, relieves sunburn, anti-inflammatory, anti-microbial and antibacterial, promotes healing and cellular regeneration.

Lanolin: an intense moisturizer, minimizes fine lines and wrinkles, helps soothe dry or chapped skin.

Glycerin: antimicrobial, increases skin hydration, relieves dryness, softens skin (great for eczema or psoriasis), and refreshes the skins surface.  

Essential Oils: in the "Bee Complex" salve.  A special blend of Frankincense, Lavender, Tea Tree, Turmeric and Myrrh.
